Writer’s Weekend Retreat gives writers a beautiful space to brainstorm, start working on the next great American novel, or wrap up a writing project for publication.
The Homestead Education Center, a local non-profit is pleased to announce their Writer’s Weekend on October 26-29. The retreat is open to both aspiring and seasoned writers; area authors will be available for one-on-one and group feedback sessions.
Local authors include Alison Buehler, the founder of The Homestead and author of “Reclaiming Women’s Health” and “Growing the Good Life”, as well as the first two books in her children’s series “Tall Tales for Small People”. “This is a great opportunity for writers to really focus on writing while we take care of the rest,” says Alison. “We will provide a beautiful retreat space and delicious, homemade meals. All you have to do is show up and get to work.”
Other local authors include Terri Lynn Thomas, who writes gothic mysteries with a hint of romance, and Jim Pathfinder Ewing, an award-winning journalist and author who has published seven books on integrative/energy medicine techniques. This is a special five-day writing retreat on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 to November 5, 2017, at a house on the Coast of Alabama.
