  • 2013 BREEZE HILL WRITING RETREAT

    The Breeze Hill Writing Retreats are held on a three-acre estate in Northport, AL. On Saturday, February 9, 2013, join us as Rick Bragg speaks about writing creative non-fiction. Refreshments and lunch will be provided at each retreat. Cost is $40.00. There is no application deadline. However, attendance is limited to 12 people per retreat.

  • WRITE BY THE WATER WRITERS RETREAT

    Write By The Water retreats provide a place of solitude where you can explore your individual writing journey and learn something new along the way. The Sicily retreat specifically allows for five days of productive morning group workshops with the Write By The Water Author in Residence, Mary Morris.   • 2013-2014 WRITING AND VISUAL ARTS FELLOWSHIP

    For the last forty years, the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown has run the largest and longest residency Fellowship in the United States for emerging visual artists and writers. Artists who have not had significant recognition for their work and writers who have not yet published a full-length book of creative work are welcome to apply. Fellows receive a seven-month stay (October 1­­-April 30) at the Work Center and a $750 monthly stipend. Fellows do not pay or work in exchange for their Fellowships in any way. The deadline for writing Fellowship applications is December 1. The deadline for visual arts Fellowship applications is February 1.

  • 2013-2014 A.I.R. Studio Artist-in-Residence Program

    A.I.R. Studio, an artist-in-residence program in Paducah, Kentucky is accepting applications from writers for its 2013-14 program year. The duration of the residency is two weeks to three months. Emerging writers/poets are encouraged to apply. Applicants must be 21 years of age or older.The studio space and living quarters are handicap accessible. The studio area features a large, open workspace. Living quarters include a sleeping area, kitchenette, and bathroom. See website for more information.
